This is a painting of the home of an amazing woman named June. This home is located in the heart of Midway and is kind of a town landmark, I think someone told me her husband built the home for her many years ago and after he passed, June lived alone in the house...working in the yard, planting a garden, serving the community in numerous ways, and playing bunco weekly, etc. Joan recently passed away at 97 and although I have painted this house several times, I feel like it won't be the same without June in it.
